Welcome!

Thank you for visiting the Holy Apostles Orthodox Church website. We hope you find your time here informative, uplifting, and spiritually beneficial. We warmly invite you to join us for one of our liturgical services—timeless services rooted in the worshipping tradition of apostolic Christianity since the earliest days of the Church.

Our parish is more than a place where people gather to worship the living God (though it is certainly that first and foremost!). Holy Apostles is a vibrant, growing Orthodox Christian community made up of people of all ages and backgrounds who are striving to live out their faith, support one another, and raise their families according to the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the sacred tradition of the Holy Orthodox Church.

We are always honored to welcome visitors to pray and worship with us. May your time with us be filled with grace and peace.

Find and Living the Ancient Faith In a Land of Beauty and Freedom

Orthodox Christianity, with its deep historical roots and remarkable stability of doctrine since apostolic times, has been experiencing remarkable growth in the United States in recent years. This growth can be attributed to several key factors:

Desire for Tradition and Stability

In a rapidly changing world, many individuals are seeking a faith that offers unchanging traditions and stability. Orthodox Christianity, with its ancient liturgies and timeless practices, provides a refuge for those longing for a deeper spiritual experience that remains the cross across generations.

This yearning for tradition is particularly evident among young men, many of whom are drawn to the “masculine” aspects of Orthodox worship and community life.

Rich Historical Continuity

The Orthodox Church offers a direct link to early Christian practices, appealing to those interested in a faith tradition with deep historical roots. This continuity allows believers to feel connected to a long lineage of faith, providing a sense of belonging to something greater than themselves.

Intellectual and Spiritual Depth

Orthodox Christianity engages both the intellect and the spirit, offering profound theological insights and a holistic approach to spiritual growth. This depth attracts individuals seeking a faith that challenges them intellectually while nurturing their spiritual lives.

Welcoming Communities

While maintaining traditional practices, the Orthodox Church in the U.S. has become increasingly ‘American,’ welcoming individuals from various backgrounds (beyond the initial immigration-driven ethnic communities).

In summary, the appeal of Orthodox Christianity in the United States today lies in its blend of tradition, historical continuity, intellectual depth, and welcoming communities. These elements resonate with a broad spectrum of individuals seeking nothing less than salvation through union with Jesus Christ as well as a meaningful and enduring spiritual path that is often summarized as: “The Beautiful, The True, The Eternal.”
